Hot Temperatures & Mold Concerns. What Can Homeowners Look Out For?

Let’s taking a look at mold.

It’s a part of nature, but when it comes in contact with your home, it could cause major problems.

Here are some tips before mold puts your home in danger.

After speaking with professionals, the biggest piece of advice is to find the problem early on.

Officials say to look for mold, search for water spots in floors. Search your basements, crawl spaces, and attics.

During the warm temperatures, it takes only 2 to 3 days for mold to grow. The hot humidity in the air, makes the problem worse.

Mold can also create health concerns.

Homeowners can pick up respiratory problems, like an allergy.

One of the difficulties in establishing if an illness is caused by the presence of mold or not, is to contact an indoor air quality professional and have them check it out.

To prevent mold during the hot temperatures, make sure keep your AC running during vacation, because if you turn it off, you’re not pulling any moisture out of the air. Also, make sure your air conditioner lines are clear.
